Discovering Portuguese music | A descoberta da musica portuguesa

I have a friend that says that we don’t have good portuguese music, I totally disagree. When we grow up all we knew was either the rock classicals such as Xutos or GNR, or “popular” music, which is indeed bad and outdated. Maybe good for a some drinks (several of them), but that’s it.
But lately I’ve realized that we have indeed very good portuguese music.

So let’s go | Ora vamos la

Dead Combo

(Fnac) (Amazon UK)

Bernardo Sassetti Trio

(Fnac) (Amazon UK)

Luisa Sobral

She will go far!!!

(Fnac) (Amazon UK)

Deolinda

(Fnac) (Amazon UK)

Antonio Zambujo

(Fnac) (Amazon UK)

(Fnac)

Something I’ve just discovered and that I need to follow up | Algumas bandas que descobri agora mas que preciso ouvir com mais atencao:

Spyros Manesi

Kolme Trio

And that’s all for today. I know it’s a matter of taste, but it’s impossible not to recognize we have a lot of potential here 🙂
